It is so easy to shop in Lancaster, it’s almost a no brainer. The area is riddled with options from small owner run stores and boutique shops to antique malls to outlet malls. Don’t forget the farmer’s markets that showcase an amazing variety of goods just within their boundaries. Many stores feature handmade Amish goods, specialty arts and crafts, and furniture all under one roof.

Antiques

Of course there are a plethora of antiques to be found in the Lancaster area. There are hundreds of antique dealers in the area with many special items just waiting to be found by you. If you want the best shot at grabbing your perfect item, you’ll want to get out early to be sure no other master shoppers beat you to your finds.

Auctions are also plentiful around Lancaster and, again, arriving early gives you an advantage. You can often preview the lots before the auction begins to plan your attack. There are a variety of farmer’s markets in Lancaster, all of which are a much loved part of the local landscape and a highlight of daily as well as tourist culture.
