HayLoft Candles in Leola, PA is another great petting zoo and specialty shop combination. There is a very wide selection of candles available and also an ice cream shop on the grounds. The selection of animals in the zoo is extensive and admission to the zoo is free.

Eastland Alpacas in Mount Joy, PA is more than just the usual petting zoo in Lancaster. They specialize, of course, in alpacas. These adorable animals are very useful and there is much to learn about them. A trip to Eastland Alpacas and their 30 acre farm can be a very educational experience where your children get to know an animal native to South America. A farm store is also located on site.

At the Pretzel Hut in Newmanstown, PA one can have a family friendly meal reminiscent of old drive thru restaurants and then get to know some of the many animals in the petting zoo. The animals include peacocks, goats, pigs, ducks and turkeys among others.
